 ASSISTANT DIRECTOR – GUEST EXPERIENCES

The Assistant Director Is a full-time role responsible for assisting the Director of Retail Operations, managing the daily operations of our beverage, food, event, and merchandise sales provided through our Tasting Room in Thompsonville, MI. In the absence of the Director of Retail Operations, performs the lead tasting room/kitchen oversight role. This role includes assisting in the selection, development and performance management of employees. Along with the Director of Retail Operations, their focus is on overseeing our inventory and ordering of food and supplies, optimizing profits and ensuring that guests are satisfied with their cocktail, dining and shopping experience. CRAFT COCKTAIL BARTENDERS

Iron Fish bartenders must be able to convey our story, lead informed tastings for customers, skillfully and efficiently create craft cocktails to order, prep ingredients, maintain bar inventory, oversee a perfect cash drawer, and be meticulous about bar cleanliness. The most important trait for an Iron Fish bartender is to be able to communicate, connect and delight customers in an active and ever-changing distillery tasting room environment.

 

KITCHEN CREW AND LINE COOK

A Food and Beverage Prep Cook is scheduled to work from three to five days a week (generally Monday to Saturday) to support the hours we are open.  Our cocktails and food menu change every three months.  Applicant must be flexible and quick to adjust to new recipes, ideas and methods of preparation and cooking. Our cocktail/bar preparation duties include juicing and making syrups.

 

DISTILLERY TOUR GUIDE

Iron Fish Distillery seeks Tour Guides (full time and part time) for general public and private groups to greet guests, share the history of our farm, the story of Iron Fish Distillery, the art and craft of distilling as well as lead groups through spirit and specialty food product tastings.

 

SEASONAL EVENT CREW

Iron Fish Distillery is seeking experienced, customer focused service industry professionals to join our Event Crew. Our Event Crew is responsible for set-up and clean up of events, as well as the execution of up to a 200 person event.  Our Event Crew includes event bartending and serving positions.  This position runs part – time (20 – 30 hours) between June and October.  Must be available most weekends.
