INSIDE SALES COORDINATOR

IN BRIEF THIS POSITION WILL:
Oversee internal coordination of fulfillment of in-state, out-of-state and retail spirits including single barrel and custom orders and specialty food products.
Monitor inventory levels of wholesale inventory to ensure order fulfillment remains at target levels.
The Inside Sales Coordinator position
requires a collaborative working style in interacting with our outside sales, retail, distillery production and accounting team to choreograph fulfillment of products sold through all channels.

The Inside Sales Coordinator position works with a number of internal customers and successful candidates will be able to demonstrate an appreciation for the role this position plays in supporting internal customer requirements and have experience in working across teams or departments. Finally, the ideal candidate will have a passion for and track record in delivering excellent customer service within a retail, distribution or manufacturing environment and interest in the craft beverage or local food movement and work well as part of a fast paced, high energy team environment.
WHO YOU ARE
• Post-secondary education focusing on business, sales or accounting preferred.

• 2 or more years of experience in a similar role considered a strong asset.

• Spreadsheet software proficiency.

• Strong interpersonal skills, detail orientation and a friendly, warm personality.

• Experience with tactful negotiation.

• Written communication skills that are high quality.

• Experience with use of CRM software a plus.

• Valid driver’s license and your own form of transportation.

• Hold and be eligible for a valid Michigan Liquor Control Commission Salesperson license (Iron Fish will work with you to acquire this)

• Ability to lift, carry, pull or push up to 50 lbs.

• Ability to work on a variable schedule that includes some weekends.

• Strong organizational skills Ability to work independently.

*Compensation is commensurate with relevant experience.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
This person is responsible for managing the details and overseeing the quality execution of fulfillment of incoming product orders and related marketing collateral requests from the marketplace. Areas of responsibility include:

Spirits & Speciality Food Wholesale Account Support: This position provides dedicated internal capacity to operationally execute spirit, barrel picks and speciality food wholesale fulfillment for both in and out-of-state markets. Work with the production team to monitor and fulfill purchase orders from wholesalers and digital sales platforms. Provide point of contact sales support for day-to-day requests. Input, list and maintain new account information on our “Where to Buy” website page.

Specialty Food Self Distribution Tasks: Oversee internal execution of B-to-B incoming customer orders. Monitor demand and provide forecasts for production replenishment.

Marketplace Compliance: Oversee barcode creation and the registration of new spirits and specialty foods at the federal, state and once approved, work with wholesale accounts including chains to meet their new product registration requirements. Assist with establishing, maintaining and updating required licensing and compiling tax reporting information for out of state distribution.

Wholesale Spirit Sales Support Tasks: Fulfill requests and provide assistance to incoming calls from accounts and consumers requesting information. Monitor weekly sales activity, comparing purchase orders to fulfillment listed on the wholesaler inventory and sales portals. Work with the Sales Team to generate monthly sales reports, analyzing patterns in sales performance, by product, type of account, region and state. Evaluate the accuracy of wholesaler incentive payouts to actual sale performance. Work closely with digital sales platforms to maintain updated product information and descriptions.

Outside Special Events Support Tasks: Oversee all aspects of participating in outside events, including wholesale trade shows, consumer festivals and events, on premise special events, and consumer tasting events, including: product ordering, POS content requirements, planning, logistics and staffing. Work with the sales team to assure spirits featured at scheduled outside events are also carried by nearby off premise accounts. Process all licensing requests by the sales team for Consumer and On Premise Tasting Events.

Shipping: Be responsible for monitoring outgoing orders of all wholesale merchandise.
KEY ROLES
Here, the inside sales coordinator will be expected to:

• Build meaningful relationships with internal and external customers.

• Assist with follow up on leads to further the sales process.

• Handle customer inquiries, acquiring pricing, providing samples, coordination shipments with production.

• Understand and represent our products and services.

• Handle and coordinate administrative duties related to sales activities.

• Improve sales skills and processes to increase sales success rates and fulfillment times.
POSITION SUCCESS
• Learning our lineup of mainstay, specialty releases, single barrel offerings and estate spirit products, as well as the inventory supporting current offerings and future releases.
 
• Becoming conversant with the company’s brand and mission. Playing a supporting role in representing and selling Iron Fish spirits.
 
• Gathering and sharing insights from customer interactions (feedback and concerns).
 
• Respond to questions pertaining to the Iron Fish brand, it’s products and the origin story of each spirit.
 
• Becoming proficient with GS1 Barcodes, MLCC Equote Product Registration, Wholesaler Sales Management Systems, including Encompass, LilyPad our CRM software, as well as extensive use of Google and Excel spreadsheet applications.
 
• Scheduling call time with key accounts to discuss the impact of our products on their business.
 
• Attending customer oriented networking events Being prepared to join others on our team and perform unrelated duties as required
