Nose: A warm and inviting blend of breakfast cereal dusted with sugar and baked spices creates an intriguing aroma. Freshly baked donuts mingle with deep, earthy notes of tobacco and oak. A gentle hint of fruit evokes the sensation of opening a homemade jar of jam, adding a subtle sweetness.
Palate: The delicate sweetness of honey and apple comes through on the first sip, giving way to a pleasantly dry mouthfeel that highlights the interplay of four distinct grains. A light, peppery rye character emerges near the end, introducing a subtle smokiness that seamlessly transitions into the finish.

Nose: A deep rye and grain smell takes the nose along with pecan and cinnamon. Toasted Caramel complemented with tobacco comes through on the second half before being aided by light notes of candy and vanilla.
Palate: A mellow leather takes hold of the taste along with deep notes of caramel and spices like brown sugar and pepper. A honey-like sweetness cuts through, along with the subtle aid of vanilla creating a medium to light body with bold but not overpowering rye character that holds over throughout the taste.
Finish: The honey continues to dance on the tongue while bringing back the notes of tobacco we found on the nose. The rye holds true aiding the notes of pepper and caramel creating a leathery and sweet mouth feel that holds well after your taste.

The name is inspired by the writings of Northern Michigan poet Michael Delp and reflects our love and commitment to preserving our region’s watersheds.
