(Traverse City, MI) November 8th , 2017 – Iron Fish Distillery is proud to announce a new collaboration with Benjaman James, a self-titled, seven-piece pop-funk band. Benjaman James selected iron Fish as the ideal venue to shoot their new smash hit ‘Guest House’. In anticipation of Benjaman James new album release, James selected the fully restored and acoustically superb century old barn as the creative space for the seven member eclectic musicians to perform and play ‘Guest House’.
Co-owners Richard and Sarah Anderson fully expect the video release to broaden national acclaim for Benjaman James, and are grateful The Barn at Iron Fish set the stage. Co-owners David Wallace and Heidi Bolger are proud to say that this isn’t your average barn. Fully restored and refurbished, The Iron Fish Barn features ground level access to primary event space. With ample room for dinning and dancing, artists such as Benjaman James provide guests a groovy and memorable night on the farm. The Barn sits nestled on a 119-acre working farm where Iron Fish grows the grain to create their premium artisan spirits. In addition The Iron Fish Barn seats 180 guests (including table and chairs), along with a maple tree canopied ceremony site with seating for 100 guests. A Northern Michigan Destination, Iron Fish Distillery is Michigan’s first working farm solely dedicated to the practice of distilling a full line of small-batch craft spirits. Every step of the process – from growing and harvesting non GMO grain to cultivating native yeast, milling, mashing, fermenting, distilling, aging and bottling – is done by hand at the distillery. Iron Fish serves up five unique spirits (Whiskey, Rum, Vodka, Gin, and Rum Cask, Maple Cask and Tawny Port Cask barrel aged Bourbon). The distillery derives their inspiration from the powerful and determined Steelhead fish that return yearly to the Betsie River nearby. Iron Fish replaces global with local wherever possible, with the highest standards along the way. Iron Fish is proudly the only distillery in Michigan, and one of approximately fifty nationally that creates spirits from grain harvested on site.
